What is your greatest fear? I’ll tell you what mine is. Getting sick and not being able to live a full life with my husband and loved ones. The choices I make today help prevent my chances of disease in the future and I let this drive my everyday choices.
I CrossFit because I know that fitness helps prevent many sicknesses. I eat meat, veggies, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar because I know that is the best way to avoid disease.
Am I perfect? Absolutely not. But I move the needle in the right direction every day. I am doing something to prevent my worst fear from happening. I do not allow myself to have excuses. I do not negotiate with myself when it comes to the things that are most important in living the longest, healthiest, happiest life I can. Does this mean I absolutely will not get sick? Nope. But I have much less chance of getting sick because I am taking care of myself. I can say with full confidence that since I started moving my body and paying attention to the foods I put into my body, my days have been happier, my mood has been lighter and the meaning of life become clearer.
I am fully aware that not everyone knows what to do when they get to a gym or how to write their own fitness program. In a world of fad diets and quick fixes, it’s hard to know what the best nutrition plan to follow is. High Mountain CrossFit is a Coaching Institution. We don’t offer access to equipment in a gym. We know that coaching is the tool that allows you to get better.
I love helping people become healthier. My passion is to teach them how to live a healthier life through healthy habits. I love seeing people with bipolar disorder, chronic pain, depression, fibromyalgia, and high blood pressure get off their medications and live a happier, healthier life through diet and fitness.
